This is My Why:

This is My Why:

I want you to know that I take this work seriously.

Coaching changes people’s lives, and I’ve seen that up close. It is its own kind of sacred space, built on the trust and safety co-created between me and my clients. In that space, clients can take a vulnerable look at themselves, find acceptance, and begin choosing the life they really want.

I want you to know that I have climbed a few healing mountains of my own to meet you here. Along the way, I discovered a peace I didn’t know was possible. I take care in doing my own work; showing up authentically, speaking the truth in love, and continuing to learn and heal. My presence, education, and ongoing healing shape the way I hold space for the people I serve. Success here takes courage and honesty from both of us.

I bring my best self to our work together. I am a thinker and a deep feeler. I believe in Breaking down complexity into wildly simple parts might be my superpower. I love a good belly laugh and the occasional curse word.

I understand the messy middle: imperfection vs. perfection, faith vs. knowing, uncertainty vs. control, humanity vs. titles, and love vs. fear. I have learned that two truths can co-exist. I hope I get to introduce you to “The Land of AND” someday.

My family is my world. We’ve been through a lot together, and we learned to value authenticity the hard way. We are a pretty imperfect, tight-knit bunch-with 13 people and counting-and we mostly love each other like crazy.

There’s room for everyone to figure out who they are and go about being that person with a high degree of acceptance and unconditional love. We love tacos, laughing, and talking about inappropriate things at the dinner table.

Our unofficial mantra is a cross between Barney Fife saying, “You’ve got a fight on your hands,” and the lyrics to our family theme song, It’s You I Like by Fred Rogers:

I hope that you’ll remember,

Even when you’re feeling blue,

That it’s you I like,

It’s you yourself,

It’s you.

It’s YOU I like.

If you come over for dinner, Mitch and I will sing it to you.

What I Believe

Here are some of my core truths.

Here are some of my core truths.

What I have learned from working with human beings.

01

Always speak the truth in love.

Coaching is a mirror to your own truth and I handle that with genuine love and care.

02

We are more the same than we are different.

After working with hundreds of diverse clients, I take comfort and direction in our common humanity.

03

We have universal needs.

Most of us hustle for our worthiness trying to meet common needs like love, belonging, connection, dignity, and safety.

04

Reactivity is normal—it also gets in our way.

Every human being has developed protective strategies that show up as reactivity.. Awareness-then acceptance-open a space for real change.

How I Work

You don't need fixing, you need support.

You don't need fixing, you need support.

You’ve been meeting other people's expectations and completely lost site of your own needs and values.

No judgement, ever.

This is a place of safety where you can discover what it means to be yourself.

Perspective matters.

We focus in on the details and also prioritize the importance of your bigger picture.

I see you and I hear you.

Empathy is powerful. When was the last time someone asked you what you need?
